Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Rove collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Rove mobile app and this website (together, the "Service").
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by JH Enterprises LLC ("Rove," "we," "us"). You can reach us any time at support@roveapp.us.
2. Information we collect
- Account & profile: your name, email address, username, and authentication details when you sign up with Apple, Google, or email.
- Listings & item photos: the photos and descriptions you submit, including images you capture for AI appraisal.
- Transactions: purchases, sales, offers, and order history. Card details are entered directly into our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers.
- Shipping details: the names and addresses needed to create labels and deliver items.
- Messages: communications you exchange with other users through the Service.
- Device & usage: device type, app version, and activity needed to operate and improve the Service.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to run the marketplace, generate AI price appraisals, process payments and payouts, arrange shipping, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, and comply with the law.
4. AI appraisal
When you request an appraisal, your item photo is analyzed by our AI provider and priced against marketplace sold-listing data. Appraisals are estimates to help you set a price — they are not guarantees of value or sale.
5. How we share information
- With other users: to complete a transaction, buyers and sellers receive the information needed to fulfill it (such as a shipping name and address, or a username).
- With service providers: we use trusted processors including Stripe (payments and payouts), EasyPost (shipping labels and tracking), Supabase (authentication and backend), our AI provider (appraisal), and Apple and Google (sign-in). They may only use your data to perform services for us.
- For legal reasons: when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
- In a business transfer: if Rove is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention & account deletion
You can request deletion of your account in the app. Because some records are shared with other users (for example, completed orders and reviews), we anonymize rather than erase those records. We may be unable to fully delete an account while it has open orders or pending payouts.
7. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
8. Your rights & choices
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information, and depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. states), you may have additional rights such as the right to know what we collect and to request deletion. To exercise these rights, contact support@roveapp.us.
9. Age requirement
Rove is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date above; significant changes may also be communicated in the app.

Terms of Service
Last updated: June 18, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Rove app and website, operated by JH Enterprises LLC. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Rove.
2. Your account
You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. What Rove is
Rove is a venue that connects independent buyers and sellers. Items are sold by individual users, not by Rove — we are not the seller, buyer, or a party to any transaction between users. AI appraisals are estimates, not guarantees of value, authenticity, or sale.
4. Listing & selling
If you list an item, you confirm you own it or have the right to sell it, that your description and photos are accurate, and that the item complies with these Terms. You may not list illegal, counterfeit, stolen, recalled, hazardous, or otherwise prohibited items.
5. Prohibited conduct
- Fraud, deception, or misrepresenting items.
- Harassment, abuse, hate speech, or threats toward other users.
- Listing prohibited items or violating applicable laws.
- Arranging shipped transactions off-platform to avoid fees or protections.
6. Fees & payments
Payments and seller payouts are handled through Stripe. Rove charges a transaction fee, which is disclosed before a sale is completed. For shipped orders, the seller's payout is released after the item is delivered. You authorize Rove and Stripe to process payments, payouts, refunds, and reversals as described in these Terms and our Refund & Returns policy.
7. Shipping & fulfillment
Sellers must ship purchased items promptly using the provided label and tracking. Payouts for shipped orders are released after delivery is confirmed. Buyers should report shipping problems within the buyer-protection window described in our Refund & Returns policy.
8. Local pickup
For local-pickup listings, buyers and sellers transact in person and arrange payment between themselves. Rove does not process, escrow, or insure local-pickup payments, and is not responsible for in-person transactions. Meet safely and use your own judgment.
9. Returns, refunds & disputes
Refunds and returns are governed by our Refund & Returns policy. If there's a problem with an order, open a dispute in the app within the stated window and we'll help resolve it.
10. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and content you submit. You grant Rove a license to host, display, and use that content to operate and promote the Service.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the accuracy of AI appraisals, the quality or legality of items listed by users, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rove and JH Enterprises LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for disputes between users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount of fees you paid to Rove for the transaction at issue.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Rove and JH Enterprises LLC against claims arising from your listings, your transactions, or your violation of these Terms.
14. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk for other users or the Service.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and may ask you to accept the new version in the app before continuing.

Refund & Returns Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
Rove is a peer-to-peer marketplace — items are sold by individual sellers. This policy explains how buyer protection, refunds, and returns work for shipped orders.
1. Buyer protection window
For shipped orders, you have 3 days from delivery to report a problem by opening a dispute in the app. After this window, the sale is considered final and the seller's payout is released.
2. What's covered
- Item not received: tracking shows it wasn't delivered.
- Not as described: the item is significantly different from the listing.
- Damaged or defective: the item arrived broken or not working as described.
3. What's not covered
- Change of mind or buyer's remorse.
- Minor variations already disclosed in the listing.
- Local-pickup transactions (handled in person between buyer and seller).
- Transactions arranged off-platform.
4. How to request a refund
Open the order in the app and start a dispute within the buyer-protection window. Include photos and a clear description of the problem so we can review it quickly.
5. How disputes are resolved
Rove reviews each dispute and may pause or reverse the seller's payout while we do. Depending on the situation, a resolution may include a full refund, a partial refund, or a return for refund.
6. Returns
If a return is required, the buyer ships the item back in its original condition. Once the return is confirmed, the refund is issued.
7. Shipping fees
Shipping fees are generally non-refundable, except where Rove determines the seller was at fault (for example, an item not as described).
8. Refund timing
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
9. Local pickup
Rove does not process or refund local-pickup payments. Those transactions are handled directly between buyer and seller.
